I’m leaving this note with a heavy heart, but a mind full of cherished memories. Over the last two years, this restaurant played a quintessential role in my journey toward 100% plant-based eating. My long-term association started at the Alwarpet branch, where the owner personally guided me through the menu. That led to countless soulful meals—especially their air-fried chips, multigrain vegan pizza, kombucha, and vegan sandwiches. I later frequented the Anna Nagar branch for its cozy, artistic interiors. Buoyed by their impressive menu, I gladly tried every new introduction—from combo boxes and meal bowls to the "make your own combo" options and loved being part of the 'Taaze Insiders' group to catch every new launch especially the meal plans for health and gym enthusiasts. Recently, the menu has been heavily cut down on its core menu items—such as vegan sandwiches, salad jars, vegan ice creams, and signature brownies—while incorporating dairy products for their strategic pivot toward gym meal plans. While I appreciate this business move, today's visit to Alwarpet confirmed that the current menu no longer aligns with my plant-based journey. Although I’m a tad disappointed, I’m deeply grateful for the amazing food and memories over the years. I sincerely wish the owner and team all the success in their future endeavors!
